Why an anonymous challenge?

By making the challenges anonymous, I hope to get a little bit closer to appreciating artists no matter who they are. I just feel like anonymity is necessary for a fair judging/voting period, and instead of just admiring the entries, the visitors get to make their opinions known.

The Submission Process

When artists decide to enter a challenge, they make their entries and upload them. In that way, this challenge site is like every blend/collage challenge out there. But when they submit their entry, they're only asked for the URL of the entry, meaning that even I don't know who made the entries. This is what I mean by anonymous; the artists could be anyone, and everyone is on a level playing field.

Voting

Yes, that's right, you get to vote for who you think should win, and you can vote for one entry from each challenge. The voting period will last a week (longer in this case!) to allow everyone a chance to vote. You may nominate one entry (from any challenge) for the creativity award, which is typically given to the entry with the most nominations. You may also comment on your choices, and I may display your comments on the winners page. The voting will determine all but one of the awards, which I will decide.

Rules on voting:
» You may only vote once.
» Please fill out the whole form.
» Please do not vote for your own entries.

These rules are here for a reason. (Namely, that if you don't follow them, voting becomes unfair.) If you break any of these rules, your vote won't count, so please play nice. :)

Awards

These are the awards that are given after voting has concluded. No entry can win more than one award.

Creativity It is meant to be awarded to the person who showed the most creativity and individuality in their entry. Only one is given per round, so it is considered to have the highest rank of all. The award generally goes to the entry with the most nominations, but in the case of a tie, I decide which entry gets it. In the event that a conflict occurs, an entry will be given this award even above a first-place award.

First, Second, and Third Place These awards are given to the people whose entries recieve the first, second, and third highest number of votes from the visitors. There is a first, second, and third place for each challenge.

Valiant This award is chosen by me, from the people who did not place in the other awards (including the Creative award). It is equivalent to the more common "Honorable Mention" award.
